How to sync Google Calendar with Apple Calendar

Add your Google account to your iPhone once and your Google events show up in Apple Calendar, both ways.

Steps on iPhone

  1. Open Settings, tap Apps, then Calendar. On iOS 17 and earlier, tap Calendar in Settings directly.
  2. Tap Calendar Accounts (or Accounts), then Add Account, then Google.
  3. Sign in to your Google account and allow access.
  4. Make sure Calendars is turned on for that account, then tap Save.
  5. Open the Calendar app and tap Calendars to choose which Google calendars to show.

Events you create in Apple Calendar on a Google calendar sync back to Google, so they also appear on the web and in the Google Calendar app.

Shared Google calendars not showing?

Some calendars shared with you in Google don't appear on iPhone until you select them on Google's sync settings page (google.com/calendar/syncselect) while signed in to the same account.

Get events in faster

Once Google and Apple are in sync, Snap to Calendar can fill either one. Snap a flyer or a screenshot, review the events, choose your Google calendar, and save. They appear in Google too.

Synced calendars, filled from a photo.

Snap to Calendar turns a photo or screenshot into calendar events you review before saving. Your first 3 successful scans are free. No account, no sign-up.
