How to delete calendar events on iPhone
Delete a single event, a repeating series, or a whole calendar.
Delete one event
- Open the Calendar app and tap the event.
- Scroll down and tap Delete Event, then confirm.
Delete a repeating event
Tap the event, then Delete Event. Choose Delete This Event Only or Delete All Future Events.
Delete a whole calendar
Tap Calendars, tap the info button (ⓘ) next to the calendar, scroll down and tap Delete Calendar. This removes every event in it from all devices that use that account.
Can't delete an event?
- If it came from a meeting invite, you may only be able to decline it.
- If it's from a subscribed or shared calendar, you need to unsubscribe or ask the owner. Unwanted calendars full of ads are covered in iPhone calendar spam.
- Birthdays come from Contacts; hide the Birthdays calendar instead.
Undo a batch
Saved a whole set of events from Snap to Calendar and want them gone? Snap lets you undo the saved set in one tap, so you don't delete them one by one.
Add events the fast way, undo them the fast way.
